About Us

Dr. Rebecca Stinson received her PhD from The University of Iowa and is a board-certified clinical psychologist. While experienced in treating a variety of mental health conditions, she finds particular joy in working with individuals wanting a better understanding of themselves in service of personal transformation. She works with two forms of therapy – traditional psychotherapy and psychedelic-assisted therapy (currently KAP). Her goal is to help you align with your values & innate wisdom, which supports the healing process and movement toward the life you desire. Whether you are just starting to explore, or have been involved with therapy in the past, she’s available to help guide you through the obstacles of life in a respectful, affirming way. Rebecca approaches her work with clients in a warm and collaborative manner, encouraging authenticity, curiosity, and compassion.

Rebecca is formally trained in Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Prolonged Exposure for PTSD, Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia, Imagery Rehearsal Training for Nightmares, Feminist Psychotherapy, and affirmative care for LGBTQ+ individuals. She is a certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy provider through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute and stays actively involved in ongoing training for treatment modalities involving non-ordinary states of consciousness. While her professional education provides a basis for treatment, her approach is also influenced by her own personal journey of self-discovery.

Rebecca is also Level-II Reiki trained and able to incorporate this healing practice when clinical appropriate. When not seeing clients, you will likely find her reading, walking, playing with her cats, spending time with loved ones, and (as a perfectionist in recovery) trying not to take herself or life too seriously.
